Why tech skilling grants?
Sourcing and skilling non-traditional tech talent can seem like a risk for some employers. We get that! The MKE Tech Hub Coalition has made building a qualified, competitive bench of diverse talent easier and more straightforward to meet employer needs. In partnership with Apprenti, Employ Milwaukee, and Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, we offer employers grant subsidies to reduce or completely eliminate costs incurred when skilling talent.
Who is eligible?

How do the grants work?
Grants support cost coverage of employer engagement with several specific types of skilling programs. Available grants reduce employer costs in two categories: up to 100% of skills training and up to 50% of wage payment for employees engaged in skilling activity. Skills training grants are offered with no out-of-pocket costs incurred to employers; wage payment grants are offered on a reimbursement basis.
