GalaxE.Solutions plans to "Outsource to Milwaukee" to create hundreds of new technology-focused jobs in the city. New Jersey-based GalaxE.Solutions develops custom application software for large corporations.

The company is already recruiting and hiring in Milwaukee with the intention of having around 50 employees here by the end of 2020, said GalaxE.Solutions CEO Tim Bryan. GalaxE.Solutions plans to hire around 300 employees in Milwaukee in the next one to two years, Bryan said.

GalaxE.Solutions CEO Tim Bryan said GalaxE.Solutions plans to hire around 300 employees in Milwaukee in the next one to two years.

The new employees will start work remotely because of the coronavirus pandemic. It is looking for a Milwaukee office location. The new jobs with GalaxE are full-time with benefits with salaries "consistent with prevailing wages," Bryan said. Currently listed job openings in Milwaukee are for trainees, mainframe engineers and testing engineers, among other positions.

Northwestern Mutual, a client of GalaxE.Solutions, is the partner for "Outsource to Milwaukee."

GalaxE has "Outsource to America" sites in Hartford, Connecticut, and Detroit with a few hundred employees. The idea is to bring outsourced information technology jobs to the United States. GalaxE.Solutions Inc. has more than 2,000 employees across the organization.

“GalaxE shares our commitment to upskilling local talent to fill the critical tech job needs in the Milwaukee region,” said Northwestern Mutual Chief Information Officer Neal Sample in a news release.

“GalaxE’s Outsource initiative has proven success in Detroit and Hartford in creating job growth, especially for those in underserved communities. Outsource to Milwaukee will allow us to build a more inclusive economy, advancing and creating new job opportunities during this unprecedented time.”

The "Outsource to Milwaukee" program is aligned with the goal of the MKE Tech Hub Coalition formed by Northwestern Mutual and other top employers in the region. The MKE Tech Hub is focused on growing the technology ecosystem in southeastern Wisconsin with a goal of doubling the number of local tech workers by 2024.
